Hello! I’m Lindsey. I am a 29 year old registered nurse turned stay-at-home mom. I am married to my best friend, Nick. He is a pilot in the Air Force, and that definitely keeps us on our toes. My boys, Tanner (5) and Wesley (3), are my world. Literally. They are my shadow 20 hours of the day. They are pretty cool, though.
I created this blog to share what I know, and what I learn during this exciting season of our lives. I’ve done so much blog reading through out the years, but it’s always hard for me because it seems like so many people out there are experienced homeschool veterans. I would have to really dig through years of posts to find relevant information. And many times the information is outdated. I really want to help those out there who are just getting started on this journey, like I am.
I knew I wanted to homeschool pretty quickly after I had my oldest. He was around 12 months old when I learned about “tot-school”. For the next year Nick and I discussed the pros and cons of homeschooling. After lots of researching, reading and following blogs, speaking with experienced friends, and prayer…tons of prayer, we were both convinced that homeschooling was the absolute best choice for our family.
I have quite a bit of experience homeschooling the early, early years. I’m talking 15 months to Pre-K (play, play, play!). Wesley is doing preschool work this year. I’m looking forward to sharing what I know with you! But this blog is just the beginning.
My husband and I are wanting to research and learn all we can about getting back to our roots as well. Back to being somewhat self-sustainable, growing and raising our own food, and being prepared for the unknown things life can sometimes throw at you.
